When customising a VELUX roof window, it’s required to choose a glazing type. The right glazing will maximize the benefits of the window and help achieve the desired indoor comfort.
Glazing types available for VELUX Roof Windows
Laminated Safety Glazing (Comfort 70 pane):

Security Pane Glazing (Pane 70Q):
The glazing 70Q comes as standard for all VELUX security roof windows. The laminated inner pane prevents the glass from falling into the room in case of breakage, while the ticker glass boosts your security. Uw=1.3 W/m²K
This glazing combines security and safety for total peace of mind.
Triple Glazed (Better Comfort 68 Pane)
Triple glazed with a laminated inner pane and toughened outer pane. Uw=1.1 W/m²K
Energy Efficient (Well-being 66 Pane):

This glazing combines premium heat insulation, rain noise reduction and anti-dew coating.
Glazing types available for Solstro Roof Windows
The Solstro range of roof windows is designed as a cost-effective alternative to VELUX. Both window sizes and glazing are limited: windows come in 7 different key sizes and there is no possibility to choose a specific glazing type. Here are the two versions you will find on a Solstro roof window:
Double glazing (B900):
B900 windows offer impressive thermal insulation values of Uw=1.3 W/m²K thanks to their modern glazing unit featuring two low-emission (heat-reflective) coatings, which prevent overheating of your room in the summer and heat loss during winter. The windows also perform excellently on other criteria, with class E1350 water tightness and class C4 wind load resistance clearly demonstrating that, the windows are ready to handle any atmospheric conditions. Its toughened (highly shatter-resistant) external pane is an addition that ensures an enhanced level of safety.
Laminated Safety Glazing (B910):
B910 windows offer impressive thermal insulation parameters of Uw=1.3 W/m²K thanks to their modern glazing unit featuring two low-emission (heat-reflective) coatings, which prevent overheating of your room in the summer and heat loss during winter. Available in PVC internal finishes only.
